Getting Around In The Family Album
Above the album are the search parameters. These can be used to filter or reorganize the
album. Below is a brief description of each parameter.
- Family: Use the drop-down list to select a family unit to view. Family
units are arranged in the order they appear in the family tree, and are named after the
person on the highest tier of that particular branch. For instance, if you chose my name,
you would also see my wife, our children, their spouses, their children, etc. The default
"All" option displays all family members.
- Year: As you might expect, entering the beginning and ending years in the "From"
and "To" boxes limits the photos to those taken between the years you choose.
- Sort: By default, "Newest" is selected. This option displays the photos in the
reverse order that they were added to the album, so that the most recently added appear
first. Alternately, you can select "Year" which will sort them chronologically by the year
they were taken.
- Grid: This allows you to adjust how many pictures appear on each page. The
default settings display three pictures wide and two deep.
After changing any of these options, click the "Search" button to see the results. Here
are a few other pointers:
- Use the yellow arrows
at the top left and top right of the album to navigate pages.
- Clicking on any photo will display a larger version in a new window, as will the
icon.
- Clicking the icon will display an even
larger image, usually suitable for 4x6 prints. (Some photos are not
available in this size.) To then save the full-sized image, or any image, to your desktop,
right-click the image and choose "Save Picture As".
